Meet Dr. Elizabeth Carter, Chiropractor and Owner of TFC
I’m Dr. Elizabeth and my passion is inspiring and empowering patients to live their best life possible. I believe that living a healthy life is more than just being pain-free, and everyone deserves to live an exceptional quality of life.
I grew up in Port Elmsley, just outside of Perth, ON. I was interested in helping people for as long as I can remember. After years of chiropractic care to support my overall health and well-being, I decided to become one myself. I completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University (2011), followed by a Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (2014). I spent my time away from studying participating in volunteer programs that allowed me to gain valuable experience working with seniors and special needs individuals.
I believe in lifelong learning. I have taken additional courses including instrument-assisted adjusting, cranial (skull) adjusting, orthotics, posture, ergonomics, radiology, nutrition, and supplementation to better serve my patients. I am trained in a range of techniques to suit your body’s specific needs including ProAdjuster, Activator Method®, Cranial Release Technique®, and Cranial Adjusting Turner Style (C.A.T.S.). I am a registered chiropractor in Ontario as well as a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Eastern Ontario Chiropractic Society.
Some of my personal interests include swimming at the local pool, biking along the Trans-Canada Trail, and spending time with my friends and family. As I grew up in a small-town environment, supporting and promoting local businesses is important to me and TFC.

Meet Alanna Dyer, Registered Massage Therapist
Alanna Dyer graduated from a three year massage therapy program at Sir Sanford Fleming College in 2015. Alanna is a mom of three little girls and understands how important it is to take care of yourself first. She is happy to accommodate children and babies of all ages to your massage treatments if needed. While Alanna has a passion for prenatal and postnatal treatments, she also treats a variety of conditions. She uses a wide range of techniques including deep tissue, trigger point release, lymphatic drainage, hydrotherapy and of course, relaxation. She believes that Massage Therapy is an effective way to maintain a healthy balance both physically and emotionally.

Meet Colleen Matthews, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Colleen Matthews joins us as an osteopathic manual practitioner and is a member of The Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (OSTCAN).
Colleen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies as well as a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. After graduating, she put her knowledge to work as a personal trainer, leading group exercise classes and later working with youth and individuals with disabilities at outdoor education facilities.
Colleen was interested in furthering her education and was intrigued by the science and philosophy of osteopathy, including the accessibility and effectiveness of treatment. Colleen earned her four-year degree as an osteopathic manual practitioner at The Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario.
While not at work, Colleen enjoys paddling, painting and catching up on her reading.
